Whitewater Canoeing vacations
Join our expert whitewater guides for 3 days or 5 day trips on the Dumoine River. This river is part of the bloodline of our people and enabled Algonquins in the 18th and 19th centuries to trade with French and English merchants both on Lake Temiscaming and at various posts along the Ottawa River.
The 3 day trip is designed for weekend whitewater get-aways. A short vehicle transfer puts you at Grand Chute where you can hike this spectacular portage while your guides ready your equiptment downstream for learning all the whitewater basics you will need to enjoy the weekend. The five day trip is paced to be more challenging. You will learn the basics and shoot all the great sets that have made the Dumoine a marquis paddling destination.
