The tour begins in North Bay, where you will head north and enjoy the beautiful old growth forests of Temagami. Bear Island, on lake Temagami is home to the Temagami First Nation. At Latchford, cross the Sgt Aubrey Cosen Memorial Bridge. Coleman Township is located around a winding Hwy 11B that leads you to the National Historic District of Cobalt. Follow the shores of Lake Temiskaming through the City of Temiskaming Shores. Here, a first alternative ride is offered to you!
At Notre-Dame-Du-Nord, Quebec, you can visit the Timiskaming First Nation. From that point, another alternative route awaits you either north or south. You will then arrive at St-Bruno-De-Guigues and admire agricultural landscapes to Lorrainville and Ville-Marie. In Duhamel-ouest, you must visit the National Historic Site of Canada Fort-Temiscaingue.
Your route continues on to St-Edouard-de-fFabre, Laniel and Temiscaming, where you can make a stop at Eagle Village First Nation in Kipawa. Also, just near the Ontario border, you will find the Wolf Lake First Nation. To get to Mattawa-Bon-field, highway 533 is a must drive. Thought it is a secondary road, it offers a unique landscape. From Mattawa-Bonfield, you just have to return to North Bay to complete the loop!
